About

With an incurable wanderlust and love of color, every item I create tells a story. Influenced by my love of travel and painting, to inspiration found in the starry skies and sea, each piece tells of a personal narrative.

I see my style as laid-back and create pieces that are easy to pack and can be worn freely - from city to surf, beach to street. My designs are not bound by time, rather as timeless items not meant to be disposed of after one season. I focus on craftsmanship and the creativity and spontaneity of design found in hand-dyeing fabric, specializing in Japanese Shibori. I design for someone who appreciates the time, passion and human touch that goes into every product.

Each item is designed and dyed in my studio in Brooklyn. I make items to order or in small batches, which are sewn in my studio or when necessary are sewn in the NYC garment district. When possible, all materials are sourced from the USA such as the leather from Horween Leathers of Chicago and natural fibers like organic cotton canvas from Texas. I believe in disposing of production waste responsibly and to produce to order based on wholesale and online purchases to avoid waste, overstock and excess inventory; plus this guarantees that each item is unique.

In addition to creating my own collection I teach Japanese Shibori at the Textile Arts Center and have taught workshops at organizations such as the Japan Society in NYC. I live in Brooklyn with my awesome husband and work near our home in the Boerum Hill neighborhood. When not sketching, sewing or dyeing, I'm daydreaming about the next adventure.
