Are You Highly Creative?

The opportunity for growth and renewal exists each time we can successfully overcome a challenge. My goal is to help you discover the knowledge, skills and inspiration you need to accomplish this task.

Right now you may actually be dealing with two sets of problems - problems in daily life and those that arise from your creative aptitudes. For example, high levels of intuition and sensitivity may cause you to become burdened by your ability to recognize subtleties, in the inner and outer world, that others may not notice. I believe your abilities deserve to be identified, valued and put into action for your benefit.

I blend the best of classic approaches in therapy, career counseling and peak performance principles with the latest in experiential practices, integral to tackling the challenges posed by life, your goals and the double-edged nature of your creative abilities.

Services are offered by phone, Skype, or in person on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

A 30-minute, complementary phone or Skype consultation is offered by appointment.

  • Career Counseling The most effective approach to career counseling begins with knowledge of ourselves we may not, as yet, be aware of. My methods are drawn from aptitude and creativity research to allow your career path to become clear with a minimum amount of time and energy within three major phases: Aptitude assessment, the identification of your authentic interests and values and the recognition of concrete resources to manifest your career. Positive expectancy, mental clarity and a more confident acceptance of your direction will enable you to more comfortably and effectively act upon each meaningful insight and opportunity.
  • Peak Performance Greater achievement and a more completely developed sense of self may be among our greatest desires. Adherence to peak performance principles allows for the development of self-mastery and the ability to produce the greatest effect with least effort. When we align our actions with principles based on how things actually work, we can begin to experience greater enjoyment and increased satisfaction with our efforts. Integrating the science of theory with the art of practice will allow you to tackle personal and professional challenges with the fullest use of your abilities.
  • Professional Development Our desire for a more fulfilling work life often requires that we take up a reflective discernment process. We leave ‘no stone unturned’ by working with a series of contemplative questions that will assist you to strengthen your current occupation, or allow us to leverage your interests and abilities in another, more meaningful direction. From a psycho-spiritual perspective, we may not get what we want, career or peace of mind, until we identify and put into action the lesson that the current challenge or impasse may be asking us to get in touch with.
  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy How we experience ourselves, others and reality can determine the directions we take and the results we achieve. Problems and challenges are seen as opportunities for self-transformation. Meaningful dialogue, self-reflective activities and experiential practices are woven into therapy, where we seek a balance between dialogue and action, while setting clear goals. Healing effects include the experience of internal safety and support, well-being that is not dependent upon external factors, ease in decision-making and the ability to live more fully from your own ‘creative space.’
