Originally from Germany, Kornelia moved to New York City in 1986 as an international art dealer. While in NYC, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to create a tour guide company for German businesses visiting Manhattan, and also got her first taste of the real estate business at Corcoran. Like many city residents, Kornelia discovered the joys of a weekend home, in Germantown (of course!). She studied literature at Bard College and raised her son. After an 8 year interlude in Santa Fe, the Hudson Valley life called her back, and Kornelia moved full time to Staatsburg with her menagerie of dogs and cats. Kornelia has traveled all over the world and loves all things artistic…fine art, opera, jazz and classical music, and movies. She enjoys walking her dogs in the mountains and parks, and supports many local animal sanctuaries.
