Sir D's Lounge

In the former Tea Lounge space in Park Slope is now Sir D's, a similar lounge-style cafe with an added perk: Jamaican beef patties.

About

When Park Slope's venerated Tea Lounge closed in December of 2014, the neighborhood mourned the 14-year-old super sized coffee shop, full of double strollers and worn furniture, with anguished fervor.

After over a year of quiet, the 3,800-square-foot space at 837 Union Street reopened as Sir D's on February 18. Despite the new name and new management, however, co-owner David Dixon says the shop will have a similar energy to the spot's former tenant.
